It is a dwarf flowering shrub, up to 1 m high. Its Leaves are opposite, lanceolate, 6-8 cm long. Flowers arise on few flowered axillary cyme; usually three, purple rose. This low growing shrub produces flower throughout the year and more abundantly in the rainy season.
Uses:It is used as an ornamental shrub.

Care: Pruning of terminal shoots during the monsoon forms a well-shaped bush. Colour of foliage becomes dull in dense shade, dry heats reduces leaf size and make colour less attractive. In milder climate with bright light plant become very colourfull.
