English Names: Croton, Gold Dust Croton

Gold Dust Croton is a subtropical, evergreen shrub, naturally occurring in Indonesia, southern Asia, and Eastern Pacific Islands. Gold Dust Croton has dark green leaves which are splattered with bright yellow dots. The yellow spots will fade away on the new growth if the light is low. Croton Gold Dust plants are found in landscapes and indoors as houseplants solely for their good looks.

Use: The colorful foliage and air purification ability. It can be used for Container, Foundation, Hedges, Houseplant, Mixed Border, Screening, etc.

Height:Up to 10 feet

Difficulty to grow:Medium.

Care: Croton likes bright sunlight but benefits from partial or filtered shade during hot summer afternoons. Water croton until water trickles through the drainage hole when the top of the soil feels dry, and then allow the pot to drain freely. Re-pot indoor crotons every two years to encourage healthy growth.

Sun-Light:Crotons need bright, indirect light. They do not like unfiltered, direct sunlight, but thrive in dappled sunlight. Vibrant colors depend on bright light.

Water:Keep them evenly moist in the summer and reduce watering in the winter to biweekly.

Soil:A well-drained potting soil is perfect.

Fertilizer:Apply slow-release pellets or liquid fertilizer during the growing season.
